Fifth Dan Karateka lost in Sumo Wrestler's Dogi


A fifth dan karateka was recently lost in a sumo wrestler's dogi during sparring practice. Authorities have launched a search and rescue operation but have yet to find any traces of human life in the vast expanse. The victim's family is unconsolable and has demanded that all sumo wresters stop wearing dogis and revert to wearing the mother of all veggies.

 

 

Takahashi Shihan visits Hyde Park Dojo


Members of Hyde park dojo were fortunate to take part in a two day seminar conducted by Head JKAA instructor Takahashi Shihan. Takahashi is a well renowned instructor and early graduate of the infamous JKA instructors course.
 
Takahashi is a true master. His expert and meticulous instruction have given rise to countless champions throughout the JKA and Australian Karate owes him a huge debt of gratitude for his service and dedication over the past four decades.
 
This seminar was the first for many of Hyde Park Dojo members and many of the beginners remarked on the sheer presence of will that a true JKA master brings to a training session. Takahashi Shihan is sure to be back later in the year.

Hyde Park Dojo Huge Medal Haul at JKAA National Championships

Breaking News:

Members of Hyde Park Dojo recently Traveled to the Gold Coast to take part in the Natioanl JKAA 1 week seminar and competition. This was the first competition for most of the Hyde Park JKA members and without knowing what to expect their performance and attitude were exemplary.

Of the nine who competed a total of eight competitors came away with medals.
